We’ve had the fortune to be Barnestorming Advertising’s go-to production company for two decades. Creative Director, Jim Barnes, is a brilliant writer and we love bringing his ideas and words to the screen. We’ve done a lot of work over the years doing just that for TV spots for one of Jim’s clients, the Santa Clara Valley Water District. The objective of the campaigns were always the same: Get Santa Clara Valley residents to conserve water because of the drought. The campaigns worked. Residents saved 27%.
But as the drought wore on into 2016, a new campaign was hatched to make certain residents knew that while they did good, the work was not done. The campaign: Vow to Save.
Jim’s script in hand, Regan jumped onto SF Casting to post for the various roles—ranging from a young girl to a grandma to a dog and representing the diversity of the Valley. Jim found the ideal location for each of the scenarios both inside and out.
Tam shot and edited the spot, which will run on Bay Area TV throughout the summer. Hopefully it won’t have to be re-run in 2017!
