We just wrapped another season kick-off show at the Santa Cruz Beach Boardwalk. This is one of the projects we look forward to every year because not only are we working with one of our favorite clients but we get to be outside all day at the Boardwalk, working with some of the most fun talent, Lex van den Berghe and Julie Courtney, and we’re all really working within our specialty. Susan and I have the chance to really produce in a stimulating environment where we work closely with the talent and our camera operator. We have to be on our game and make sure that we don’t miss a beat. Tam, although has not been able to fulfill his dream of just sitting back and directing, gets to work closely with talent directing the scene, and being creative behind the lens. Jessika gets to do what she does best as well, interacting with the client, organizing all of the set needs and making sure that the entire team is successful. We also have the chance to work with some of our favorite freelancers, Andy, Tom and John.
This years theme was “Celebrate Summer!” and Lex and Julie were awesome on set, the crew was doing what they needed to do, clients were happy and we all worked so well together, it made the full day of production fly by. It seems we have all gotten into a rhythm where we know what we need to be doing and we are able to execute pretty flawlessly. This Summer kick-off features Circo Brazil, the New Haunted Castle, Interview with Corey Feldman, concert by Flock of Seagulls and some other fun events and interviews. It will air this month and next month on KTVU, so check it out!
